Area of Specialism: Modern Languages
I have worked at Our Lady's since qualifying as a teacher fourteen years ago and was quickly appointed to introduce Spanish into the Curriculum. I then became Principal Teacher of Modern Languages at the school in 2007 and have been in the role since. I am passionate about young people learning a language and that they develop the capacity to communicate with fluency in both spoken and written work, as well as developing independence through grammar and literacy. This has been the uncompromising focus of my Curriculum Area and has helped us to increase the French pass rate by 31% over two years to 78% in Summer 2015, which was 7% above the National Average. |
