Meet the Team
Adrian Gormally - Director of ITT and Preston Secondary Hub Lead

Adrian is Assistant Headteacher at Our Lady’s Catholic High School and Director of ITT for the Catholic Teaching Alliance. Adrian is responsible for the planning, monitoring, quality assurance and reviewing of all aspects of the School Direct PGCE programme. He leads on the recruitment, selection and observation of trainees. Adrian is passionate about teaching and learning. He co-ordinates and delivers sessions on the PGCE training programme, in collaboration with Alliance schools and the University of Cumbria. Adrian is an experienced facilitator for NPQ leadership courses. He is Professional Mentor, oversees CPD, PSHE/RSE and is ECT lead for Our Lady’s Catholic High School.
Hannah Gardner- Blackburn Secondary Hub Lead

Hannah is Academic leader for Performing Arts at St Bede's High School and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) lead for the CTA at the Blackburn hub. In her role as ITT lead, Hannah coordinates the training of our secondary teachers in Blackburn, arranges placements and observes teaching. Hannah aims to ensure that all trainees feel fully supported and that each of them has the opportunity to develop into an excellent practitioner. Hannah is also the Early Career Framework (ECF) coordinator for St Bede's High School Blackburn.
Vicky Bryant - Preston Post 16 Hub Lead

Vicky is Vice-Principal at Cardinal Newman 6th Form College in Preston. She works with a dedicated team at the college to ensure the teacher training programme is delivered effectively and trainees are supported from application through to placement.
Katie O'Donnell - Primary Progamme Lead - Preston

Katie is an experienced teacher and Deputy Headteacher at Our Lady and St Edward's Catholic Primary School. In her role as Initial Teacher Training Lead for the Catholic Teaching Alliance Primary PGCE course, Katie oversees and co-ordinates the training of our primary trainee teachers, co-ordinates placements and observes teaching. Katie ensures that the individual needs of each trainee are met and she works closely with our Cumbria University Professional Lead.
Liz Lloyd - Primary Progamme Lead - East Lancashire (Burnley)

Liz is Head Teacher at St Joseph's RC Voluntary Academy, Todmorden and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) lead for the CTA at the East Lancs hub. In her role as ITT lead, Liz interviews the candidates for the course, coordinates the training of our primary teachers in the East Lancs footprint, arranges placements and observes teaching. Liz is passionate about training excellent, dedicated teachers for the future and aims to ensure all trainees complete the course with confidence not only in their own abilities, but to pass this confidence and love of learning to the next generation with enthusiasm and excitement.
Rachel Ballard - Early Primary Course Lead

Rachel Ballard is the Headteacher of St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School. Rachel supports Katie O'Donnell, Primary Course Leader in Preston, with the Initial Teaching Training for the Catholic Teaching Alliance. Rachel’s focus is supporting students with their training within the Early Primary aspects of the course.
