We are 'Open for Business' Choose the Catholic Teaching Alliance for your PGCE course starting next September.
The School Direct train to teach course is a 1 year full-time, route into teaching delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The majority of time on our PGCE courses is spent on placement in our alliance schools.
You can choose to train to be a teacher with the Catholic Teaching Alliance (North) by age range and/or location:

What are the entry requirements? What places are available with the CTA (North)? What about the Literacy and Numeracy Skills Tests for teachers? For courses starting after April 2020, candidates no longer need to take professional skills tests in literacy and numeracy before beginning teacher training. What is the School Experience Programme?
