Teacher Training FAQ

Whilst we appreciate we are living in unprecedented times, we need new teachers more than ever.

The School Direct train to teach course is a 1 year full-time, route into teaching delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The majority of time on our PGCE courses is spent on placement in our alliance schools.

  • Early Primary (3-7 years) based at the CTA Preston Hub
  • Secondary (11-16 years) based at either the Main Site in Preston or at our Blackburn Campus (St Bede's Catholic High School)
