The Catholic Teaching Alliance (CTA) is a school-based delivery partner of the University of Cumbria. The CTA PGCE with QTS course is a 1 year full-time route into teaching with the majority of the course spent on placement in our alliance schools.

How do I find information about CTA (North) courses? What are the entry requirements? What places are available with the CTA (North)? What is the deadline for applications? We will accept applications for our teacher training courses up until the course is closed or mid-July. Contact us to see how many places are available in your subject. What about the Literacy and Numeracy Skills Tests for teachers? For courses starting after April 2020, candidates no longer need to take professional skills tests in literacy and numeracy before beginning teacher training. How do I get some school experience?
